- About Me:
- I'm a mid-30's father of 4. We live in Chandler, AZ on a fairly large (by urban perspective) chunk of land, about 1/3 of an acre. We have a small home, 1400 sqft that I enclosed half of the back porch into additional living space a few years ago. We've lived in the valley for 11 years now.
My wife and I enjoyed a small vegetable garden for a number of years then got fed up with the heat of the valley and gave up for a while. We're getting back into it now with the energy to finally begin work on our entire yard. We enjoy canning/bottling food so it can be eaten later on in the year.
We're committed to organic growing of vegetables and recycling anything we can. We're hoping to get in gutters on our 1982 home so we can begin collecting rainwater as well. Eventual plans involve more construction on the house, with better rainwater collection systems, high efficiency appliances, etc.
