Cottonwood's elevation is around 3300 sq. ft. From what we've learned through the PPG, we should be considering the chill hours for our area to select the best varieties of fruit trees. According to a report published by the Arizona Cooperative Extension a few years ago, elevations between 2,500 and 4,000 ft, you should look for varieties with chilling requirements between 500 and 750 hours.
Karla, Dave Wilson Nursery trees seems to be the favorites for fruit tree purchases. On their website, they say that Mortimer Nursery in Prescott buys their trees. Check it out at http://www.davewilson.com/ordered/mortimer-AZ.html. It lists the trees they buy from Dave Wilson nursery, their chills hours, etc.
