I work in the video game industry and I'm looking to pick up real life physical skills like food growing and working with communities. I feel like someday I will be able to use those skills to help me and those around me. Phoenix Permaculture Guild seems like a good local place to start.
Ron - Next time please let me know so I can look for someone else. We were counting on you. We had no one else. She had over 50 people there. We really need the help.
well, maybe I will see in the class....
Yeah, when I told a Naturopathic doctor that I ate dirt as a kid, he told me that it was signs of a magnesium deficiency...I just loved the way it smelled, tasted and felt to play in. Sounds like you and your sis where similar...I would go for hours and play and get hungry and thirsty, yet went to the hose for water and sometimes ate dirt.....
Mark and I are focused on him making lattice since it is so expensive and getting all our plants and seeds ready for making living walls....to be continued.....
Howdy Ron!
Hope this finds you well.
What adventures were you up to this weekend?
I did the Phx Pub Market (hadn't been there in a long time) and then Doreen's pruning/what to do in March class. I tried to make it to Local to Global and found myself getting advanced work done on my yard....
Be well,
Jenn

Hey Ron- sorry i missed you on Sunday! i definitely didnt put in as much time this weekend as i usually do, last week we did all the planting and a big amount of relandscaping, so my body was needing a break. Anywho- next Sunday we'll be out there all day if you want to stop by. I hope you took the time to give yourself a tour! Thanks for stopping in, and again, sorry i missed you!
Hi Ron - I will leave them will tied up in the bag on my porch behind the plant. They will be safe there. Feel free to stop by anytime - My schedule is very hectic so this is the best way! Hope to see you on 3.18
They are from Glas-Tec in Tucson (but they are happy to deliver to Phoenix). Their number is 520 889-0181. I talked to Michelle and she was very helpful. These particular tanks are 8'8" tall, but they make tanks to order or there are some standard sizes. Give them a call. Their website is ugly, but there is a little bit about their company here: www.glastecinc.com Hope this helps and happy harvesting!
This time of year, it's easy to drive around ABQ and find bagged leaves waiting for disposal by the city, at least that was the case a few years back. You only have another week or two to collect them before they're gone for another year ....
I really thought this was clever too! I would think that Craig's List would have many of these listed pretty cheap. I believe that they had 3 chickens, but this setup could handle quite a bit more, and it looks so darn cute!
She can dump out the bin in an area where she would like to create a new garden bed, preferably in a sunny location. Cover it with a black plastic bag or any other medium which will absorb the heat. Piling LOTS more leaves on top and saturating ever…
