David, I'll still be looking. the one female who lays, has stopped, maybe it's the colder weather, but I do want more muscovies.

Steve made the duck plucker as shown on the instructions. the only thing left to do is get the part/bolt for attaching to the drill. Personally, I wouldn't do a chicken first, as I don't have chickens and it might turn me off to doing ducks. The bi…

adventures out sid ethe enclosure

We let the ducklings outide the enclosure the last couple of days. Introduced them to one of the males. Everyone seems to be getting long just fine, they spent all day today together. pictures will be posted. How quickly they grow. The ducklings are only a moth old
They are so great and fun to watch.

New arrivals

We let one of our females sit on what I originally thought was 2 eggs, turned out it was 5. Well about 4 weeks ago we had four of the 5 hatch. We now have 3 yellow and 1 brown duckling added to the collection. they are growning so fast!

The ducks loved the irrigation

boy did they enjoy it when we got irrigation yesterday!!! I don't think they have ever seen that much water. Looked like they really had a good time being ducks.

Yes, that is too late. My 5 year old great nephew will be here the 24th and I know those two will clash! Good news is, think I found a home for him as a pasture ornament even being absolutely honest about his personality. Thank you for keeping us in mind!

Karl,

Thanks! Sorry to nag. I can deal with him for another two weeks or so, but my 5 year old Great Nephew is coming to visit then. I do not want to risk that.

Karl,

What have you heard about the duck butchering? Would love to get Errol out of here and get one of your hens in. Let me know what works for you.

Thanks,
Lis
