About Me:
Arizonan since 2002, previously from Florida, so I adore our monsoons...they remind me of the hurricanes at home! I live downtown, in the heart of urban Phoenix, with my fiance, our 3 cats and super-cute chiweenie. I work downtown too...I'm a community organizer for the Arizona Wilderness Coalition--which means I'm out and about talking to people about conservation in the Sonoran Desert, specifically western Maricopa county, all the time!

Permie interests: native plants/seeds, art projects, local foods/markets and canning, water harvesting/greywater.

Great response to my post! You've got a great point - who knows how much solid science was regarded as rediculous before or even after it was proven? I completely hate people being taken advantage of, but writing that post - and reading it later - has made me examine my own vehement reaction, and admit that I have a great deal to learn - including humility.

Hi Danica,
Thanks--my husband took the photo, he really finds interesting nature shots. Yes, I'm familiar with Bookchin! How cool that you studied with him. I'm looking forward to know folks in the guild, and especially turning our side yard into a permaculture/solar respite.
