Check out the Fruit Tree Class with Greg Peterson this Saturday morning (9/19) at the "Home & Garden Expo Center in Peoria. Learn what fruit trees to plant, what grows well and what doesn’t in the desert, the single most important thing you need to know before you buy a fruit tree and more. We will cover apples, pears, stone fruit, citrus, and other specialty fruits.

Evenings during the week are free for me unless I'm attending a class. Weekends are OK depending on time. Just need a week or 2 advance notice for the weekend. Anyone else?

Hey robert. Well I had not actually thought that far ahead. Could we get some input on when we are available? Clearly during the day is out however early evening is good and I am available all week and weekends but lets hear some preferences... D

Hey Denise, I'm game. Just throw out a couple of dates so we can find one that fits everyones schedule and give us time to prepare a list and agenda. Sounds like a great idea.

Is anyone interested in meeting?? We could get together and discuss items we want to get done and how we could help each other accomplish things? I know it's too hot but we could meet in the evening possibly? D

I'll be switching my main geographical group to the new South Central Group. I will stay a member here, but won't initiate anything.

This time of year, it's easy to drive around ABQ and find bagged leaves waiting for disposal by the city, at least that was the case a few years back. You only have another week or two to collect them before they're gone for another year ....

I really thought this was clever too! I would think that Craig's List would have many of these listed pretty cheap. I believe that they had 3 chickens, but this setup could handle quite a bit more, and it looks so darn cute!

She can dump out the bin in an area where she would like to create a new garden bed, preferably in a sunny location. Cover it with a black plastic bag or any other medium which will absorb the heat. Piling LOTS more leaves on top and saturating ever…
