When we make the final shift to the Cactus Rd. Farm I'll be getting some dairy goats. We're evaluating how many Nubians to acquire.

In that - we're wondering what the interest in fresh, raw goats milk from goats might be. Our goats will be free of CL (Caseous Lymphadenitis)) and CAE (Caprine Arthritis Encephalitis) and from healthy stock.

Have a wonderful day!!!! Lylah

Oh, how exciting! I keep kicking around the idea of raw goats milk at least for cheese if not for drinking. Don't know if I could get my husband or the 2 young men to do it though.
I would LOVE to be able to buy raw goats milk!!! Count me in as a customer!
Judy
I would like to give it a try, depending on cost, travel distance, etc. What is your cross street with Cactus?
I'm delighted with the response! Thanks! We'll be near Cactus and the 101 - Anne - I think that's near your place. I will make an announcement to visit our place as soon as it's all up and running AND when I have my dairy goats.

Years ago I used to raise a small herd of goats - and sold my extra raw milk that I didn't use for cheese or yogurt. I can still remember the lasagna that I'd made with the goats cheese - YUM! I will notify the PPC org when my raw milk is available.
Cool - that is very close to me. I would definitely give it a try. Have been wanting to make cheese. Please keep us posted!
I will......
Anne, I have the book "cheesemaking at home" plus supplies from Ricki the Cheese Queen. I'd be happy to share both with you. Perhaps we can work out a goat milk and/or cheese-to-eggs exchange! :^)
That would be great! Then we'd have a whole bunch of reasons to travel to Glendale ;)
...i love this networking/bartering thing going on!
I echo Anne. I would love to buy raw goat's milk, depending on where you'll be. Thanks for doing this!
So cool! I am very interested, but unfortunately, Cactus and the 101 is pretty far from me. I will give it a try (so please count me in), but at this point, I don't know how regularly I can make the trip. Just an idea, would you consider trying to sell some at the community table at the Downtown Farmers Market?

This is very exciting! Please keep us posted, and again, count me in!
I'd be interested

I guess my concern is really the chemical makeup of MiracleGro. You're absolutely right on about the need for AZ soil to have a little added acidity for some plants and that side of the product doesn't concern me. I would just advise users to do t...

If you make smoothies figs are great for these. I freeze whole figs in zipper bags, take out however many you plan to use and let them thaw just enough to quarter them and use in place of ice in your smoothie. Good mixed with frozen bananas.
