Rachel will show you how easy it is to keep chickens in your backyard. Chickens in Phoenix? You bet! Chickens make great pets, efficient bug and weed eaters and excellent soil tillers, not to mention that they provide us with wonderful fresh eggs!

Learn how to keep urban chickens, including:
--how to raise baby chicks for meat or laying hens
--laws governing chicken-keeping in the city
--feeding, watering and tending your flock.

Bring your questions.

How kid friendly is this event? Would a 2 year old be too disruptive?

This class is held on a donation basis, and if you are not able to donate, it is not required, as all our classes are technically free. Donations are how we keep our mission growing and are greatly appreciated. Please bring your children and learn about chickens together, they are great additions to the family!

If you have any additional questions please fell free to ask the "Administrator."
Many Thanks! Phoenix Permaculture Guild

Hi Rachel,
We won't be able to attend, but we would like everyone to know that our family breeds chickens in Gilbert. We would love to have you give our contact info for anyone interested in chicks. We sell them day old or can raise them to a few weeks for those who don't want to get babies. Let us know the best way to contact you about this.
