It was fun, Mari! Where are you thinking about placing your herbs? I'm going to intermix mine throughout my fall garden.

I just wanted to say thanks again to Doreen and all for the Herb class yesterday out here in the West! I really enjoyed her talk so very much! I'm hoping that it didn't cost to much to have it there at the Expo center because it sure was easy to get to and it was cool inside! Sign me up for the next class whatever it is!!!!!

Whew! Thanks Doreen :o). left turn at the end of Ludlow it is. I wonder what's on the right side? I'll have to look over there tomorrow, lol.

Mari - your guest is very wlecome!

I also just got back from driving there - here's my version of the directions!
West on Thunderbird (past the 101), right or north at the next light (Rio Vista), then right at the next street, Ludlow. Take Ludlow to the every end and turn LEFT (NOT RIGHT)into the parking lot. The building is on your left - BIG sign on the building, just look up! See you all tomorrow!

Looking forward to seeing you all there! I went to the Home & Garden Expo Center today, and I was a little confused on the location. Not that I looked at the map first or anything :oP. Whether you turn right (north) on 88th Ave. or Rio Vista, just turn right from there onto Ludlow and follow Ludlow until it ends. Then, just go right again, pass in front of the buildings, and you'll see the Peoria Home & Garden Expo Center sign on one of them. I didn't see any sign other than that. The 101 is directly east of the Expo Center. It's nice and cool inside the Expo Center!

This time of year, it's easy to drive around ABQ and find bagged leaves waiting for disposal by the city, at least that was the case a few years back. You only have another week or two to collect them before they're gone for another year ....

I really thought this was clever too! I would think that Craig's List would have many of these listed pretty cheap. I believe that they had 3 chickens, but this setup could handle quite a bit more, and it looks so darn cute!

She can dump out the bin in an area where she would like to create a new garden bed, preferably in a sunny location. Cover it with a black plastic bag or any other medium which will absorb the heat. Piling LOTS more leaves on top and saturating ever…
