Yes, Bermuda Grass is one tough plant. It invades our gardens, grows in our xeriscape and chokes out our vegetable gardens. Are we destined to live with it forever? There are many methods to removing this invasive plant and one method is highly controversial.

Learn the various removal methods for Bermuda Grass; solarization, digging and using an herbicide. You will also learn how to merge two contradictory practices in a beneficial way which will result in grass free growing soil in one season! Summer is THE time to remove Bermuda Grass so you can have a great garden next spring.

Most importantly you will learn how to remediate the area with microbes bringing the soil back to vibrant life, regardless of which method you use. If you are going to grow vegetables or prized flowers in your garden, you need a healthy soil food web.

Don Titmus is a founding board member of the Phoenix Permaculture Guild, a seasoned Permaculture Designer, lead instructor for the Permaculture Designer certification course in Phoenix and owns his own landscaping business here in the valley for the past 18 years and has been a Horticulturist for 30 years.
